About Us |

"SOLAPUR JILHA YOGA PARISHAD, SOLAPUR" is
a registered organization . From the day of the establishment , the
organization is actively involved in the spread of YOGA. Various
activities through schools, colleges and social organizations have been
undertaken to create the awareness and knowledge about YOGA in the
citizens of Solapur. As a result, since 2003, YOGASANAS are involved in
School Sports. The organization is organizing YOGA competitions
every year through schools for different age groups. There is huge
response for these competitions through schools. Students from
non-participating schools are keen on taking direct participation in
these competitions. Students from all over the state have gradually
started participating in these competitions and hence, the organization
has been changing the formats and processes of competitions to make such
participation convenient. This has been one of the greatest achievements
of the organization and the objective of making the citizens aware of
importance of YOGA has been accomplished to a large extent which is
evident from the insistence of Parents, Schools and individuals
regarding participation is these annual competitions.
